Good news for parents on parental leave. Parental payments increased by 6 percent on 1 July.
That means a maximum increase from $712.17 to $754.87 gross per week for those who are eligible.
Parental leave payments are paid for one continuous period of up to 26 weeks and you can transfer some or all of your parental leave payments to your partner if they become the primary caregiver.
