WETA Workshop started the New Year without its high-profile Hollywood director, Peter Jackson … all thanks to the incoming health and safety legislation.

Jackson stepped down from his role at the end of the year, as the new laws will require a greater day-to-day involvement from all directors of companies, who’ll face potential personal liability and tougher penalties for workplace health and safety failings.

The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 comes into force in April – it impacts not only on directors and management, but workers, and even volunteers, as well. You can check out the latest here.
