Jessica Smith

Jessica was born and raised in Christchurch and has always loved being part of this community. Jess studied at the University of Canterbury and completed an LLB as well as a BA in History with a minor in Psychology — this is a mix that reflects her genuine interest in people, their stories, and what helps them move forward.

Now part of our Family Law team, Jess enjoys the people-focused nature of the work and the variety that each day brings. Whether it’s problem‑solving, researching, or working closely with clients, Jess is getting real satisfaction from helping people navigate their way through tricky situations and towards practical, helpful solutions. With her Professionals near completion, Jess is excited to be on the journey towards building a rewarding legal career.

Outside the office, Jess will be playing netball, walking in the hills or along the beach, baking something delicious – skills she has picked up from her pastry chef Dad - or spending time with friends, whānau, and enjoying the outdoors.
